A TentED partner brings the classroom to 100 refugee children in Rikava
Amidst reports and receipts, a reminder of what’s at stake
TentED partners with the EDGE Institute to deliver education and arts to displaced kids.
TentED is committed to supporting comprehensive education for children displaced by war. Recently we sponsored a field trip to Lalish–the most important site for the Yazidi people in Iraq–for the refugee children enrolled in our education program.
In the midst of the mundane misery and challenges of displacement, visitors have reason to feel both anguish and hope. This hope for a better future is why we continue supporting education for those displaced by war.
In the midst of demanding times that stir the strongest passions, I’d like to share with you some happy news about TentED.
ISIS roared into the region. They did not seem human. We fled for our lives, we climbed mountains, tried to stand up, starved, died of thirst, we were captured, tortured, massacred, raped and brainwashed. Now far from Shingal, we are still here, hopeful; EDGE Institute and TentED help make that hope possible.
