Advancing education for children displaced by war
When children arrive in transitional communities, they have often lost everything. By funding projects that make returning to school, fun, and friends possible, TentED seeks to improve and normalize their lives, while providing hope for a more stable, successful future.
To create lasting change, we need to start with the last mile.
How TentED works
We accomplish our mission by implementing small-scale projects in partnership with existing and emergent aid programs. This allows us to rapidly deliver the ingredients of a quality education – “last-mile” essentials that include school supplies, seasonal clothing, bus transportation, and recreational activities. Our current focus is in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, where over the last two years we have funded more than 15 projects and activities, making a direct impact on the educational experiences of hundreds of students.
